I would like to get the serial number, as in the serial number returned from the PowerShell Get-Disk cmdlet, associated with the drive letter of a windows volume. I'm strugling to find anything that will point me in the correct direction for how to do this. HardDriveInfo.DLL is an ActiveX COM DLL to read or get hard disk information. You can use HardDriveInfo.DLL to read the real serial number of hard disk easily. HardDriveInfo.DLL does not depend on the 'support' libraries to get or fetch the details. Get disk serial number linux. This command gets an instance of the Win32DiskDrive WMI class and outputs the model of each disk drive in the computer and its corresponding serial number from that instance. This answer assumes PowerShell 3.0 or later. If running an older version, use Get-WmiObject in place of Get-CimInstance.
